KeyCity Capital Holds Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Celebrating the Grand Opening of the Westwood

Abilene, Texas – (November 4, 2021) – KeyCity Capital is making an impact in Abilene, Texas, as they announce the grand opening of the Westwood Apartments, their new membership in the Abilene Chamber of Commerce, and the completion of two additional multifamily properties.


On November 4th, 2021, KeyCity Capital hosted an outdoor ribbon cutting and barbecue at the Westwood Apartments to unveil the newly renovated property. Members from the Abilene Chamber of Commerce and residents of Westwood joined alongside them to enjoy great food and even better company in celebration of this huge accomplishment.


Boone Lasater, COO of KeyCity Capital, said, "We are excited about the new and improved Westwood Apartments. Our team at KeyCity Capital is so happy to come in and re-introduce a property that was an eyesore to the community and make it into something community members can be proud to live in."


The Westwood Apartments - a 28 unit complex - underwent a complete interior and exterior renovation. The upgraded amenities include a new Bark Park, an upgraded patio with a fire pit and crushed granite, and a barbecue area with a pergola.


In addition to these improvements, KeyCity Capital recently joined the Abilene Chamber of Commerce and is excited about the new opportunities the membership will present. Not only will the Chamber of Commerce allow KeyCity Capital to impact the community on a deeper level, but it will also build the credibility of their business, increase their visibility throughout the community, and provide networking opportunities with local business professionals.

KeyCity Capital also recently renovated two additional multifamily properties in Abilene - Stevenson Place, a 16-unit community located at 526 E. North 7th, Abilene, Texas, adjacent to the Stevenson Park, and Soda Flats, an 11-unit community located at 2966 South 4th, Abilene, Texas, in the SODA district.


Stevenson Place is currently 50% leased and underwent complete exterior and interior renovations. Following completion, KeyCity Capital will be installing new concrete pads and adding new picnic areas throughout the property.


The SODA Flats are 100% preleased and move-in ready. Renovations included a full exterior paint job, a new parking lot, and interior upgrades throughout the community.
