Tie Lasater, MAcc

Chief Executive Officer

Tie Lasater is a founding partner and KeyCity’s chief executive officer. Prior to starting KeyCity with his brother, Boone Lasater, he held roles at KPMG International in the audit and compliance division and was the controller and chief financial officer at a private equity firm. Additionally, Lasater brings experience as a professional speaker, with a focus on topics such as real estate, finance, leadership and entrepreneurship. Lasater holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in accounting from Abilene Christian University and has been recognized as a Dallas 40 under 40 honoree by the Dallas Business Journal.

Charlie Dombek, CPA

President & Chief Client Officer

Charles Dombek is a managing partner and KeyCity’s president and chief client officer. He began his career at Ernst and Young and has been a certified public accountant for more than 30 years. He works directly with clients through a comprehensive planning process, manages the firm's asset-backed lending, and is responsible for raising capital for the firm's investment funds. He graduated from Virginia Tech with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and received his MBA from the College of William and Mary.

Boone Lasater 

Chief Operating Officer

Boone Lasater is a founding partner and KeyCity’s chief operating officer, bringing more than 15 years of real estate, accounting, and private equity experience. Prior to starting KeyCity Capital with his brother, Tie Lasater, he spent six years as a public tax and audit accountant and worked as an assistant controller for a private equity oil and gas firm. Lasater holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Tarleton State University.

Leigh Archer

Chief Acquisitions Officer 

Leigh Archer is a managing partner and KeyCity’s chief acquisitions officer and brings more than 15 years of real estate brokerage, agency management and investing experience. Prior to joining KeyCity Capital, he owned a title company, served as the vice president of Keller Williams Realty in Amarillo, and was the CEO of Keller Williams Realty in Denver. Archer graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Tarleton State University.

Meliea Ware

SVP of Operations

Meliea Ware is the senior vice president of operations at KeyCity. In this role, she is responsible for the day-to-day functions that are required to help the company operate and grow. She brings more than 14 years of management experience, including eight years in the real estate industry. Ware holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from West Texas A&M University.

Thom Besso

Chief Talent Officer

Thom Besso is KeyCity’s chief talent officer. Prior to joining KeyCity, he was the founder and managing partner of SolomonSwann International Executive Search, a global talent acquisition and leadership consulting firm, for nearly 25 years. In that role, Besso recruited, coached, and developed candidates for companies and organizations around the world. Additionally, he spent the first portion of his career in senior management in the retail and services industries. Besso holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from The College of New Jersey.


Ben Goodyear, CPA

Chief Financial Officer

Ben Goodyear is KeyCity’s chief financial officer. He brings more than 15 years of accounting experience and has served as a financial controller for several private equity portfolio companies for more than 10 years. His career began at KPMG’s Dallas office as part of their audit team, focusing mostly on upstream oil and gas clients. He then joined Rise Energy, where he supervised accounting operations for offshore California oil and gas platforms. Additionally, Goodyear co-founded HighMark Energy, where he led the accounting department, and served as controller for Acacia Exploration Partners. Goodyear graduated with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in finance from Texas A&M University. He’s also a certified public accountant.

Meg Dubbs

Creative & Marketing Director

Meg Dubbs is the creative and marketing director for KeyCity. She brings more than 25 years of design and marketing experience in various industries and has a strong background in strategic planning, creative problem-solving, design management and collaborative teamwork. Dubbs graduated from Marymount University with a bachelor’s degree in graphic design and earned her master's degree in design management from Savannah College of Art and Design.

Stephen Patterson

Director of Client Relations

Stephen Patterson is KeyCity’s director of client relations. He has more than 25 years of experience in public and private finance and administration. Throughout this career, he worked as a public administrator, was on the board of directors for a private operating foundation, served as a board member of the County Economic Development Corporation, and has been on numerous civic boards focused on improving communities at large. His client relationship experience includes purchasing and refinancing municipal bonds and projects for public and county entities. Patterson earned his doctoral degree from Stephen F. Austin State University, completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Columbia University and is a licensed financial advisor.

Mandy Danish

Client Accounts Manager

Mandy Danish is a client accounts manager at KeyCity. She brings more than 10 years of experience in marketing and investor relations management. At KeyCity Capital, Danish oversees the capital team’s workflow by maintaining the pipeline and capital tracking and ensuring a smooth and effective onboarding process for investors. As the primary contact for investors, family offices, and RIAs, she is committed to nurturing and developing these relationships.

Client Account Coordinator

Justine Segura is a client account coordinator at KeyCity. In this role, she is responsible for the investor onboarding experience and assists investors so that they can be paired with a new custodian. Prior to joining KeyCity, Segura worked as a data processor.

Donna Wishard

First Impressions Coordinator

Donna Wishard is KeyCity’s first impression coordinator. She brings more than 10 years of experience as an executive assistant and has experience with mortgage lending and bank acquisitions. Throughout her career, Wishard worked in a variety of industries including politics, facility management, events, music and auto finance. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Abilene Christian University.
